Combined air and sea transports
Too slow by ocean freight ? Too expensive by airfreight ? The alternative is to combine both. Especially on the route between Asia and Europe this combination is well-tried. The first part of the transport is arranged by ocean freight, the second by airfreight. The advantage of this combination is not only a 50 % saving of the transit time but also of the freight charges (compared with 100 % airfreight). An ocean freight shipment from Hong Kong to Hamburg takes approx. 4 - 5 weeks. In combination with airfreight the transit time can be reduced to approx. 2 weeks.

Especially in the airfreight business every kilogram counts. Light, compact and solid packaging is a must to keep the freight charges on a low level.
